As part of a dynamic business strategy in a competitive environment, it is essential for an organization to induct information technology (IT) appropriately and identify its barriers. In the constant changing environment today, businesses large and small need to have a well-thought-out strategy to provide customers with the best-of-breed products, services and excellent support on a time.To prove such claims, this study seeks to demonstrate the main IT barriers in food industries of Yazd province.The results show that economic barriers are the most important in application of IT in food industries.
